 Proofreading
The same team of translators can proofread documents written or translated by their colleagues. I can therefore offer a supplementary proofreading stage, carried out by a different translator. This option is designed primarily for high-quality texts intended for publication.
Large projects - Short deadlines
For high-volume projects, which may include several languages (e.g. translating a 200-page technical manual from English to French, German and Spanish), I will immediately put together a team of translators with the capacity to carry out the work in the time available. Thanks to computer-assisted translation tools (including the best-known, Trados), translation consistency is guaranteed even if the work is divided between several translators. Translation memories and glossaries make it possible for different translators working on the same text to use the same translation for a particular term, so that terminology can be standardised across the project and subsequent projects.
Transcription
If you need an audio or video sequence translated, I can carry out the transcription on your behalf. Just send me your files or media by e-mail, post, FTP server etc., and the text will be transcribed. The transcription will be translated by the most appropriate translator and I will send you the result by e-mail.
Moderation for multilingual websites
By individual request, I can also put together a team of moderators to survey your website forums. In general, this will involve native speakers checking your forums several times a day to weed out objectionable posts, which is a real boon when you do not speak the language of the forum. |
